PPA300: A Sketch Challenge from Sandie Conner

I made a birthday card for another "little" friend of mine.
She's turning 6 next week.

My design is based on the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.

This is the 300th challenge. Congratulations on the PPA Design Team!
I'm sure it requires a lot of time, energy and commitment to continue this art challenge for such a long time. I just want to say "THANK YOU" to the team!

I received a new stamp set today, and I thought the laughing face stamp was perfect for a "happy" birthday card.

Stamp: Create a Character (yns), ABC & 123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers, Family Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Wisteria Wonder, DSP Subtle (Pink Pirouette), Vellum
Ink: VersaMark
Accessories: Balloon STAX (mft), Scallop Trim Border Punch, Bitty Banner Framelits, Embossing Powder (White), Metallic Thread (Silver), Adhesive Rhinestones, Mini Glue Dots, Dimentionals

PP294: A Color Challenge from Jaydee

This is a card I made for my little (literally "little") friend.

When I saw the soft color combination Jaydee chose for this week's Paper Players challenge, I thought that was perfect for a birthday card I wanted to make.

I wanted to make something interesting (design-wise), so I glued many strips of the challenge colors on the card base. I cut out the squares and the sentiment from the front panel, and put the panel over the card base.

Stamp: Endless Birthday Wishes
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Accessories: Square STAX (mft), Pierced Fish Tail Flags STAX (mft), Fancy Words Dies (rc), Sequins (Clear, ppp), Dimentionals

Thanks for visiting me today!

PPA299 & CTS171

I made this card for a friend of mine who loves antiquey style.

I used the colors from the Pals Paper Arts color challenge.

And my card design is based on the "CAS(E) this sketch!" challenge.

I used a Timeless Textures stamp to create texture on the flower petals.
The sentiment was heat-embossed in gold on vellum, cut out, and pasted on the front panel.

Stamp: Timeless Textures, Endless Thanks, Burlap BG (mft)
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Vellum
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, VersaMark
Accessories: Blossom Party Dies, Embossing Powder (Gold), Vintage Faceted Designers Buttons, Mini Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by!

PP293 & CQC339

I've received the stencil brushes I ordered last week, so I tried them out.
I used to use sponges with stencils, but I read somewhere that brushes color more smoothly and evenly.

The Paper Player's challenge for this week is a theme challenge - bicycle.
I have a few bicycle stamps, and I chose my favorite one for the challenge.
The stamp is retired, but I love the flowers in the basket on the back of the saddle.

And I used the colors from a colourQ challenge #339.

I liked how the color gradation turned out.

Stamp: Moving Forward
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Blendabilities
Accessories: Lattice Stencil (heidi swapp), Stencil Brushes, Pearl Basic Jewels, Dimentionals

Thank you for visiting me!
