CAS Mix Up February Challenge - best wishes

A good friend of mine is leaving her company so I made this card for her.

I knew I wanted to use a die-cut felt bird, but I was not sure where to place the sentiment, "best wishes". After thinking about it for a while, I decided to give the bird an envelope to carry and stamp the sentiment on the envelope. I think it worked well.

I'm entering this card into the CAS Mix Up February Challenge.

Using Felt + Stamping + Die cutting

CAS Waterclour February Challenge & Exciting News

I'm playing along with the CAS Watercolour February Challenge today. The theme is Hearts. Isn't it perfect for this month?
I used one of my favorite heart stamps. It's a retired stamp but I love the scribble style.

I stamped the hearts with pigment ink and heat-emblossed with clear powder.
Roughly watercolored the background, stamped the sentiment. Then I raised the die-cut panel on the card base.

I hope you can see the shimmer of the watercolor paint from this angle. The paint color says "silver" but it's more like white shimmer.

Thanks for choosing the perfect theme for the challenge, Bonnie!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made Valentine treat boxes for my friend's daughters this weekend!

I die-cut a popcorn box from Regal Rose cardstock. Then I die-cut a window on the front side, and heat-embossed the Cupid and the circle of hearts in white. I added a red heart coated with Glossy Accent to the center of the circle and finished off with mini pom-poms around the rims.

I know these are super-girly (maybe too girly for their ages), but I hope they like them!

Stamp: p.s. I Love You, Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up!)

Window Sheet (Stampin' Up!)

CAS Mix Up February Challenge - a million thanks

I look forward to the CAS Mix Up challenge every month. This month's theme is to use felt, cork, or canvas.

I've had a cork sheet for a long time and never used it. So ta-da~ this is the time to use it.

I die-cut the sheet of cork with the solid leaf die 3 times, and die-cut color cardstock with the outline leaf die. Layered them and glued them together.
Pasted the three leaves on the front panel and stamped a sentiment in the center.
This is a very simple and easy card to make. At the same time, I spent most of the time choosing colors because of its simplicity. I chose Very Vanilla over Whisper White as the card base and the front panel. I also tried many colors for the outline leaves, but these neutral colors made it to the final list. :-)
