CAS Mix Up February Challenge - a million thanks

I look forward to the CAS Mix Up challenge every month. This month's theme is to use felt, cork, or canvas.

I've had a cork sheet for a long time and never used it. So ta-da~ this is the time to use it.

I die-cut the sheet of cork with the solid leaf die 3 times, and die-cut color cardstock with the outline leaf die. Layered them and glued them together.
Pasted the three leaves on the front panel and stamped a sentiment in the center.
This is a very simple and easy card to make. At the same time, I spent most of the time choosing colors because of its simplicity. I chose Very Vanilla over Whisper White as the card base and the front panel. I also tried many colors for the outline leaves, but these neutral colors made it to the final list. :-)

cork + stamping + die-cutting

Thank you, Joanna, for hosting the fun challenge!

  12. This looks spectacular in it's simplicity! Love the ombre shades of the outlines! I think the vanilla was a good choice, white would have been too harsh. I know what you mean by spending time to decide on the colors... I also spend way too much time on the sentiment for my cards!
Have a wonderful and crafty weekend,
    Susanne
