CAS Christmas Card March Challenge - merry christmas

Today is the day - the launch of the CAS Christmas Card Challenge!
This is my first time to be on a Design Team and I'm so thrilled! 😊

I'm also excited to get to make clean and simple Christmas cards every month with a different theme and build my stash before December. Isn't it a wonderful system? Play along with us through the year and have fun! I promise it'll help you ease the busy-ness of making Christmas cards at the last minute.

So, the challenge for the starting month, March, is Holly.

Here's my card:

I played with the colors and used brighter colors than for real holly.
I stamped the leaves and the berries on white cardstock, die-cut them, and pasted them on the card base. I stamped the sentiment with silver pigment ink on the back (smooth) side of the specialty paper. Then I cut it into a strip, layered sliver foil paper underneath, and raised it with foam tape.
I brushed Wink of Stella over the berries as a finishing touch. It's very simple and easy to make!

Come and check out the inspiring cards by the Design Team, and I hope to see you in the gallery!

Stamp: Modern Christmas (Ellen Hutson)
Paper: Woodgrain (White - Altenew), Whisper White, Silver Foil Sheet (Stampin' Up!)

Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo (Stampin' Up!), Encore Ultimate Metallic (Silver - Tsukineko)

  1. Clean and Simple perfection, my friend. I love your non-traditional colored holly and your bright red berries. Your silver stamped sentiment with your silver foil frame is so pretty and wonderful with your stamped and die cut images. Attaching all to your woodgrain CS adds a wonderful texture, while keeping your design CAS. TFS Hideko.

Congratulations on being chosen for this very special DT and Challenge. Love and Hugs, Nancy
