This background was colored with the leftover ink I used for coloring the tissue paper the other day. I spritzed water over the leftover ink so the colors were much lighter, but I liked them.
I die-cut a few snow flakes from a piece of silver foil paper and decorated the tag with them. I stenciled just a few glimmer snowfalls on the background. The sentiment was heat-embossed in silver on a strip of vellum. I used a silver cord instead of a ribbon this time.
I've been enjoying looking at the wonderful holiday tags in the gallery. Thank you, Loll, for hosting this fun event!

I didn't want to miss my favorite challenges this month, so I combined the two: CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix Up.
I used watercolor, glitter paper, stamping, and die-cutting with a holiday theme.
I die-cut a piece of glitter paper and cut it into a triangle so that it looks like a Christmas tree. Then I popped up the tree with foam squares on the watercolor stroke background.
I wanted to try something I've never done, so I tuned the sentiment into a silver ink frame. Finally a red enamel dot was added to top it off.
Thanks for looking!

Loll has been hosting her 4th Annual "Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends", and today is the final day for this year.
I'm joining this fun event this year for the first time. I was away from home earlier this month, but I'm glad I was able to submit my tag before the event is over!
I used the tissue paper technique I learned at the CAS Mix Up Challenge in July. The tissue paper was colored with distress inks and then scrunched up. I pasted it on white cardstock, die-cut it, and heat-embossed it with glitter powder. Finally I glued the heat-embossed sentiment banner to the tag and popped up the die-cut deer.
It's a very simple tag, but I like it!
Thanks for checking in!

Hello! I'm Hideko Lagan. (My first name is pronounced as "Hee-deh-ko".)
I'm originally from Tokyo, Japan, and my husband and I moved to the States in 2008.
I started papercrafting in June, 2012, and I enjoy it on weekends. I used to love origami when I was a child, so the paper-crafting seeds were already in me at that time!
