CAS Christmas July Challenge - merry christmas

Hi everyone,

It's already time for a reminder post for our CAS Christmas Challenge!

The challenge for this month is:

Here's my card:

[How I made the card]

1. Stenciled the poinsettias with Distress Inks on a piece of white cardstock.

2. Stamped the script with Distress Oxide Ink over the stenciled image.

3. Stenciled the poinsettias again with VersaMark and clear heat-embossed the image.

4. Trimmed the poinsettia cardstock to a size a little bigger than the window frame, and added Stickles to the center of the flowers.

5. Die-cut the window frame three times from white cardstock and glued the pieces together.

6. Adhered the poinsettia piece to the back of the window frame.

7. Dry embossed a piece of white cardstock and glued it onto the card base.

8. Glued the entire window frame onto the front panel.

You still have until July 24th to play along. Come and join us here!

CAS Christmas July Challenge - happy holidays

Hi everyone,

Half of the year has passed and there're only a few more months till Christmas cards are mailed off. If your Christmas card stash is still low, it's a great time to start building it up now. 😊

Our wonderful designer, Linda (Lin's Craft Corner) is hosting the CAS Christmas July Challenge, and she chose Poinsettia as the theme. We're happy to have Sandra (Sandma's Handmade Cards) as our Guest Designer this month.

Here's my card:

[How I made the card]

1. Foiled the gold frame on the red front panel.

2. Die-cut poinsettias from gold foil cardstock, and glued them onto the front panel.

3. Added white Nuvo Crystal Drops to the center of the flowers.

4. White heat-embossed the sentiment on the front panel.

5. Glued the entire front panel onto the card base, and trimmed the poinsettia petals at the edge of the card.

Please check out the challenge blog for more inspiration, and play along with us! The challenge is open until July 24th.
