CAS Mix Up June Challenges - birthday wishes

Hi everyone,

I've move to the CAS Christmas Challenge Design Team, but I'd love to join the CAS Mix Up gallery as much as possible. This month's challenge uses one of my favorite kinds of paper, vellum. How fun!

Here's my card:

Using Embossed Vellum, Sponging, Die-cutting, Heat-embossing, and Stamping

[How I made the card]
1. Sponged a piece of mixed media paper with blue and purple distress inks, and glued it to the card base. (left side in the picture below)
2. Die-cut a window from a front panel and heat-embossed the sentiment. Added star-shaped (punched) sequins next to the sentiment.
3. Dry embossed a piece of vellum and glued it to the window panel (right side on the picture below)

4. Adhered the front panel to the card base with foal tape.

I'm happy that the embossed vellum looks like frosted glass and the sponged colors softly show.

Thanks for visiting me today!

Stamp: Bitty Birthday Wishes (My Favorite Things)

CAS Christmas June Challenge - joy

It's time for more inspiration from the CAS Christmas Challenge Design Team!
Our challenge for this month is hosted by Linda, and the theme is Bells.

I made my reminder card using only paper, dies, and glue.
Here's my card:

[How I made the card]
1. Die-cut the wreath, the bells, the ribbon, the sentiment, and the front panel.
2. Glued everything on the front panel.

This is very simple, but I love how it turned out.

You have until June 24th. I hope you have fun making a Bell-themed CAS Christmas card and share it with us in the gallery.

The bell is a brand new die, so I'm adding the card to NBUS Challenge #15.

PaperWhisper White, Real Red (Stampin' Up!), Mirror Foil Paper (Recollections)
Accessories: Dies (Holly & Pine Frame - Simon Says Stamp, Christmas Icons - Impression Obsession, Cut & Emboss - Recollections, Crimped Frame - The Greetery, Captions Alphabet - My Favorite Things),
Connect Glue (Gina K)

CAS Christmas June Challenge - happy holidays

Hello everyone,

I'm back to the CAS Christmas Challenge Design Team, and I hope to inspire you to get started making Christmas cards! 😊

Linda is hosting this month's challenge and she chose Bells as the theme.
Our Guest Designer is LeAnne (weeinklings).

I thought foiling was perfect to give bells a metallic feeling, so here's my card.

[How I made the card]
1. Spread a thin layer of Transfer Gel over a piece of mixed media paper.
2. Put a piece of foil sheet over the paper and ran it through the laminator.
3. Die-cut bells from the foiled sheet.
4. Die-cut borders from a white front panel, heat-embossed the sentiment, and glued the bells on the front panel.
5. Brushed glitter gloss over the base card so that sparkles from the glitter peek through the thin border apertures.

[Side Note]
I die-cut bells from a black toner sheet at first, but I didn't get smooth foiling on them. There were a lot of scratches as you see in the picture below.

So I used Transfer Gel instead. The Gel worked better for me.

There are tons of inspiring cards from our Designers and the Guest Designer, LeAnne on the challenge site. Please check it out and play along with us.

I used the bell die set for the first time, so I'm entering this card into NBUS Challenge #15.
