Hi everyone,
Welcome to the CAS Christmas February Challenge! This month's challenge is hosted by our talented Designer, Christine (It's a Card Day's Night). She chose Winter Scene as the theme. Our wonderful Guest Designer is Izzy (Izzy Scrap). Welcome, Izzy!
I had a perfect die and an embossing folder to create a winter scene. 😊
[How I made the card]
1. 3D embossed a piece of white card stock.
2. Lightly sponged the embossed panel with distress inks, and spritzed the shimmer spray over the panel.
3. Die-cut the fir tree and the frame twice from a piece of white card stock, and die-cut another fir tree panel to stack up for dimension.
4. Foiled the sentiment on the die-cut front panel.
5. Glued the front panel to the sponged panel, and adhered the entire front panel to the card base.
I don't think I'll ever see this kind of peaceful and snowy "winter scene" here in Los Angeles, but it was fun to dream about the scene while making the card. 😊
You'll find more inspirations at the challenge site. Please check it out and join the fun!

ReplyDeleteYou may not get these peaceful snowy scenes where you live, but you recreated one beautifully! I'll bet the shimmer is amazing! The background and die cut trees certainly are!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful softly blended colors over your dry embossed background, Hideko. Perfect choice of Distress Inks. I love how you stacked your die cut layers, which really made your die cut trees and oval window pop. Sweet and pretty gold foiled sentiment for the final touch. TFS dear friend and including your details and close up of the shimmer from the spray. Love and Hugs...Nancy
