CAS Christmas October 2026 - Sending you peaceful Christmas wishes

Hi everyone!

Colleen has chosen "Poinsettia" as the theme for this month's CAS Christmas Challenge.

Here's my card for the challenge:

I tried two new ways with this card.

First, I used only the bottom and right-hand side of a full poinsettia frame stamp. Using just a portion of the frame stamp leaves plenty of white space to keep the card CAS.

Second, I colored mostly with colored pencils instead of stenciling with inks, even though I have a coordinating layered stencil set. It’s been a while since I last colored an entire image with pencils, so it was a great way to brush up on my skills.😉

The image and sentiment were stamped with gold pigment ink. I used one of the layered stencils as a mask to sponge light blue onto the background.

I didn't want a bold frame to distract from the poinsettia image, so I camouflaged the border by adding an extra layer of cardstock underneath for dimension.

Let's head over to the challenge site to check out the beautiful sample cards from the Design Team, and see a whole garden of poinsettia cards in the gallery!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
