CAS Stencil March Challenge - thinking of you

The CAS Stencil March Challenge is all about Ghosting Technique.
I tried this technique for the first time and made a mistake or two, but it was fun! Thanks, Julia, for hosting this fun challenge! 

Here's my card:

[How I made the card]
1. Randomly sponged 3 Distress Inks (Stormy Sky, Bundled Sage, and Twisted Citron) on a piece of mixed media paper.
2. Placed the stencil over the paper and generously spritzed water over it.
3. Removed the stencil quickly, waited 10-15 seconds for the inks to react with water, and gently absorbed the excess water with paper towel.
4. Die-cut a rounded rectangle panel from the mixed media paper and another one from a piece of vellum. Layered them together.
5. White heat-embossed the sentiment on the card base.
6. Adhered the rectangle panel onto the card base.
7. Die-cut grasses from glimmer paper and glued them to the panel.

I used colored "white" space  for a change. 
The entry due of the challenge is tonight (March 24), so I'm glad that I got to squeeze in. 😊

CAS Watercolour March Challenge - happy birthday

Jenny is hosting the CAS Watercolour Challenge this month and she chose "Watercolour on Vellum" as the theme.

Here's my card:

[How I made the card]
1. Cut a piece of vellum 3" x 3".
2. Put the vellum piece on the card base and gold heat embossed the dahlia on both the vellum and the card base.
3. Watercoloured the dahlia in red.
4. Heat embossed the sentiment in black.
5. Made a frame impression with a mod rectangle die on the card base.
6. Glued the vellum onto the card base and curled up one edge. (The vellum was warping a little, so it was easy to curl it.)

The challenge is open until March 24th.

CAS Mix Up March Challenge - beautiful day

Have you tried the Faux Stained Glass technique featured in this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge?
I tried another way of making the Faux Stained Glass look using a piece of acetate today. Thanks, Joanna, for hosting this fun challenge this month!

　　　

Here's my card:

Using Faux Stained Glass Technique, Die-cutting, Heat-embossing, Alcohol Inks, and Stamping

[How I made the card]
1. Blend Alcohol Inks on a piece of Yupo paper.

2. Heat-embossed the butterfly on a piece of acetate in black.
3. Die-cut the front panel and then die-cut the butterfly outline from the panel.
4. Heat-embossed the sentiment in black.
5. Attached the heat-embossed acetate to the back of the front panel and popped up the front panel on the card base with foam tape.
6. Glued the sequins onto the front panel.
