I used the red ochre sheet last week, and made a card. So today, I chose the tree peony one for this.
I die cut the white card base, and placed the watercoloured wash sheet behind the base. I thought this would make a great silhouette.
I wanted to make this card look a little festive because it's an anniversary card, so I used gold glitter embossing powder for the sentiment and the thin frame. Because the glitter powder granules are larger than regular embossing powder's, the sentiment was difficult to read... A lesson learned - I'll use a sentiment in a simpler or larger font with glitter embossing powder in the future.
I'm sharing the card in these challenges. Click the banners below, and you'll see the galleries full of beautiful cards:

This is just beautiful, Hideko. Your watercolored panel is done beautifully, and the silhouette branch frame is the perfect compliment for it. The gold glitter embossing was worth your effort - it adds so much without taking the focus away from that panel. Really lovely. Have a great weekend. Bev

ReplyDeleteHideko, I agree, that sweet die-cut does make a great silhouette and looks so pretty against that gorgeous colour wash background.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful with the watercolour wash background for your tree silhouette image, Hideko. I love how you added your thin colored layer to your frame. Even if your gold eb sentiment is a little hard to read it still adds pretty elegance to your anniversary card. TFS and joining us at CAS Watercolour and CAS Mix Up. Hugs..
