This is a card I made for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge (#287) this week.
These are the three colors Katy chose for the challenge.
I made a frame using Lost Lagoon cardstock and the Hardwood stamp.
I think the font style of the sentiment matches the curvy-outlined flowers.
Stamp: Friendly Phrases, Hardwood
Paper: Very Vanilla, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive, Calypso Coral
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Craft Ink (Whisper White)
Accessories: Looped Border (mft), Wild Greenery (mft), Pearl Basic Jewels, Dimentionals

I LOVE this card! My first thought was that it was indeed a frame. Beautifully assembled. I have already pinned it for a future CASE. Thanks so much for playing along with my color challenge at the PPA this week. I always look forward to your creations!!
ReplyDeleteKaty, thank you very much for your sweet and encouraging comment! I really enjoyed your color challenge - I would never think of this color combination myself (one from In-Color, another from Brights, and the other from Subtles).
DeleteThis is fantastic. I love the simple arrangement and the way the challenge colors stand out. The frame you created is outstanding! The simplest ideas like that one are so good, we all wonder why we haven't thought of it. I must give that a try. Thank you so ,u h for sharing with Pals Paper Arts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the time to leave a sweet comment, Shawn! I'm so grateful that you understand my intention - I made the elements inside the frame very simple so that the challenge colors stand out.
DeleteWhat a "simply wonderful" project! I love the frame you've added around it - I would have believed you if you had told me you just took this down off your wall. Love it! Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your kind comment, Brian! I wanted to make this card look like a picture in a frame, so I'm glad to hear you see it that way, and you liked it!
DeleteFabulous! Simply lovely frame creation - the texture really makes it appear to be wood! I love the composition you created in your layout with these die cuts and your use of colors! Thank you for joining us this week at the Pals Paper Arts Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment, Jackie! The hardwood stamp worked well for the frame. The looped border die is fun to use, and very versatile!

ReplyDeleteHello again.. I LOVE the way you created the frame on this card. Very creative! I found your blog in a round-about way following Hannelie Bester's (desert diva) blog. So glad I did, because I love your style of card-making. I'm going to add you to my feedly and start following you. Can't wait to see what you come up with in the future! :)
