CAS Christmas Card July Challenge - merry christmas

It's July 3rd and the start of the CAS Christmas Card July Challenge! Our talented Owner and Designer, Loll (Stamping with Loll) is hosting the challenge this month, and the theme is Poinsettia. We have Marina (My Perfect Life) as Guest Designer.

Here's my card:

I stenciled poinsettias on a piece of red cardstock with glimmer paste and layered it slightly offset under a white window frame. I scored the borders on the card base to make a subtle frame impression and popped up the stenciled piece with foam tape.

Please check out the challenge blog to see the cards made by the Designers and our Guest Designer, Marina. Hope to see your poinsettia in the gallery!

Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: Layering Mini Stencil (Set 19 - Tim Holtz), Holiday Frames (Simon Says Stamp), Nuvo Glimmer Paste (Tonic Studio - Moonstone), Foam Tape (3M)

  5. What a fabulous card! I love the use of the glimmer paste on the red cardstock (I must remember to do that one day). And the offset layering with the sentiment die over the stenciled panel is terrific. Great idea to score the border too.

  6. Love the dimension and the glitter and shine from the paste through that pretty poinsettia stencil. Love how you've used the red card stock instead of doing the poinsettia in the red...so creative. Fabulous layout too...beautiful and contemporary card x
