CAS Christmas August 2022 - Merry Christmas

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the start of the CAS Christmas August Challenge!

Our very talented Designer, Trina (Phamtastic Design), is our host this month, and she chose "Pine" as the theme. We are lucky to have two wonderful Guest Designers, Elizabeth (Paper Sweetness), and Lucie (LucieG Cards). Welcome,  Elizabeth and Lucie!




Here's my card:


I made the pinecones and bauble blueish to pay homage to Trina. Her favorite color is blue. 


[How I made the card]

1. Made Alcohol Ink backgrounds and die-cut pinecones, a bauble, and a pine bough.

2. Die-cut ornament's caps and hangers from silver foil paper.

3. Glimmer foiled the dotted frame on the front panel.

4. Glued the pinecones, ornaments, and pine bough onto the front panel.

5. Heat-embossed the sentiment.

6. Adhered the entire panel to the card base.

Stamp: Snow Globe Sentiments (My Favorite Things)
Paper: Basic White (Stampin' Up!), Alcohol Ink Cardstock (Gloss - Ranger), Foil Mirror Paper (Silver - Recollections)
Ink: Alcohol Ink (Indigo, Turquoise, Stream, Purple Twilight, Patina, Mermaid), VersaMark (Tsukineko)
Others: Dies (Fall Foliage - Spellbinders, Christmas Icons - Impression Obsession, Stitched Ornaments - Lawn Fawn), Glimmer Hot Plate (Essential Glimmer Rectangles - Spellbinders), Glimmer Hot Foil (Silver - Spellbinders), Embossing Powder (Silver - Hero Arts), Connect Glue (Gina K)

    Oh wow, those are beautiful! I was wondering what you used to make them so vibrant and gorgeous! Alcohol ink is the perfect choice for those baubles!

    TFS your detailed description and especially the close up photo of your beautiful and shiny baubles and pine bough, Hideko. I Loved your CAS design and how you die cut your images from a gorgeous alcohol ink background. Your blues, green, silver and white color combo is stunning too. Love and hugs...Nancy

    Absolutely BEAUTIFUL card Hideko!! I'm so glad you included the side photo so we could see more of the color variations in the baubles and pine branch, and also the shine of the foil with your dotted frame! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

    Hello, Hideko! Something has gone terribly wrong over at Blogger - I'm not getting the CAS Christmas posts in my email box anymore - more importantly, they aren't delivering YOUR posts either! I guess I should consider myself lucky that it continued so long!
    Your pine boughs are the perfect size for your darling little baubles - such gorgeous alcohol ink colors you have there, my friend! LOve the foiled dotted frame! A very merry Christmas card!
