PP289: A Theme Challenge from Laurie

The theme of this week's Paper Players challenge is Western.

Here's my card.

This was my first time to make a Western-themed card.
I incorporated a few cowboy factors in the card - a red bandanna, a leather belt, and a bolo tie. It was fun making the card!

I used Core'dinations cardstock and sanding block to create the belt, and used Chrystal Effects to make a punched-out circle look like turquoise.

Stamp: Horse Frontier
Paper:Real Red, Chocolate Chip (Core'dinations), Glimmer Paper (Silver), Tempting Turquoise, Going Places DSP Pack
Ink:Early Espresso
Accessories: Beautifully Baroque EF, Sanding System, Ovals Collection Framelits, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, 1/4" Circle Punch, Cording Trim (Silver), Crystal Effects, Dimentionals

 Thanks for visiting me today!

  2. What a great masculine card! I love the embossing and the print in the patterned paper, and the sentiment is just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing with us this week at The Paper Players!

    1. Thanks so much, Sandy! I was looking for western shirt color/patterned paper, but I was not able to find any in my stash, so I'm glad to hear you liked this pattern.
