I made a card to remind myself last weekend - Enjoy your journey.
I sometimes get caught up in busyness, and forget having fun with the process...

The inspiration of my card is N@ Ali's sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch (#227). (Unfortunately I missed the entry deadline this week...)

I created the sentiments using MS Word (font: Watermelon Script), and printed them on the panels.

CAS(E) this Sketch #226 - miss you

One of my best friends is going back to Tokyo this week, and I'm going to miss her and her family (especially her little girls) so much! We had farewell brunch together last Saturday, and I made this card for them. The colored drops are teardrops of my heart... 😢 

The bright side of the card is that I was selected as a My Favorite Things' new product launch prizewinner, and received a generous coupon earlier this month. I used the coupon and got this versatile Color Drop stamp & die set and other goodies. This is the first card I made using the new color drop set.

Donna's sketch was perfect for what I wanted to make today!

I made a DIY stencil using the Color Drop die, and sponged the drops with distress ink. I die-cut a vellum drop and layered it over the blue drop. I stamped the labels in VersaFine Onyx Black, and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.

CAS Mix Up Card Challenge - thanks a million

I bought a jar of texture paste a long time ago, and never used it. I was inspired by all the beautiful cards at CAS Mix Up Card Challenge, and I thought it was time to open my jar and try it.
Here's my card:

It was really fun to use the paste with a stencil!
I sponged disterss ink over the pattern.

 

I used stamping, sponging, texture paste, stencil, heat-embossing, and die-cut.
I'm ready to try this again with a different stencil! 😊

CAS Watercolour Card Challenge - Joy Ride

I don't have much experience with watercolor, but I want to learn it. I love CAS cards, so I thought this challenge was a great way to get used to watercoloring.

This month's theme is summer, and I made an ocean/wave card. I'm not a surfer, but I like the sentiment - every day can be a JOY RIDE.

Splattering perfect pearls mixed with water worked well.

I used to work for a coffee company and I LOVE coffee! Yes, it IS a hug for my brain.
