CAS Mix Up Card Challenge - thanks a million

I bought a jar of texture paste a long time ago, and never used it. I was inspired by all the beautiful cards at CAS Mix Up Card Challenge, and I thought it was time to open my jar and try it.
Here's my card:



It was really fun to use the paste with a stencil!
I sponged disterss ink over the pattern.

 




I used stamping, sponging, texture paste, stencil, heat-embossing, and die-cut.
I'm ready to try this again with a different stencil! 😊

  


Stamp: Word Play (Stampin' up!)
Paper: Whisper White, Vellum (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: VersaMark (Tsukineko), Distress Ink (Pine Needle, Lucky Clover - Ranger)
Accessories: Seasonal Decorative Masks, Silver Cording Trim (Stampin' Up!), Texture Paste (Opaque Matte - Ranger), Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX (My Favorite Things), Embossing Powder (White - Hero Arts), Thin 3D Foam Squares (3L)

    Your embossing paste through the stencil turned out beautifully, Hideko! Love the your sponged the ink on top to create an ombre background. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

      Thanks for your kind words, Nancy! Yes, the background was a little bit busy, so I wanted to make the sentiment CAS. I'm so glad I tried using embossing paste, thanks to this challenge!

      Thanks so much, Bonnie! Stenciling with texture paste worked pretty well as a first time. I want to play with it changing the thickness of the paste next time. :-)

    Hi, Hideko! I hopped over here from SCS and wanted to read more about this card. It's beautiful, and I love how you sponged over the the stenciled (dried) paste with Distress Ink! What a lovely effect with the vellum sentiment! Hugs!
