The April Challenge is Rubber Band Technique. Julia Aston is hosting this fun challenge. Check out the challenge blog and find great inspiration!
Here's my card:
I used Rubber Band Technique + Stamping + Heat-embossing + Die-cutting.
The background was done with the rubber band embossing technique - I wrapped rubber bands around a brayer, inked it up with VersaMark, rolled it a few times over the white cardstock, covered everything with embossing powder, and heat-set it.
The Koi was die-cut from a piece of gold vellum. I love the airy feel of the Koi. I stamped the sentiment, and embellished with the sequins. I hope you can see the shimmer of the vellum from this angle.
The challenge is open until April 24th. I hope to see you in the gallery!
Stamp: Birthday Builder (Altenew)
Paper: Whisper White (Stampin' Up!), Gold Vellum (Grafix Arts)
Ink: VersaMark, Versafine (Onyx Black - Tsukineko)
Accessories: Dies (Koi Fish - Hero Arts), Embossing Powder (Silver Pearl - Wow!), Sequins (Wisteria Blossoms Mix - Pretty Pink Posh), Rubber Bands, Brayer (Speedball)
