Loll is hosting the challenge and the theme is Layered Embossing Powders.
I've been wanting to try the Encrusted Jewel Technique since my DH bought me a small electric griddle for crafting use a few months ago! I finally got to use the griddle and made this card.
Layered Embossing Powders + Stamping + Die-cutting
First, I die-cut the feathers from a chip board, and placed them on a piece of parchment paper. I sprinkled Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) and heated it on the griddle. When the UTEE started melting, I added White Mica and Shaved Ice Fragments. When everything was melted, I took it off from the griddle and let it cool.
I made a frame impression using dies and an embossing mat.
I wanted to use glitter embossing powder for the swirl and the sentiment. So they were first stamped with mint green ink to give a cohesive base to the glitter embossing powder, and then with VersaMark for heat-embossing.
Thanks for the fun challenge, Loll! And thank you, Jane and the Design Team, for creating the wonderful sample cards!
