CAS Chirstimas January Challenge - merry christmas

This month's CAS Christmas Challenge is hosted by the talented Christine, and she chose a great color combo, Blue and Silver, as the challenge.

Here's my card:

[How I made the card]
1. Silver heat-embossed the sentiment and the baubles on a dot framed card panel.
2. Sponged the baubles with 3 shades of blue Distress Ink.
3. Made a mask using a post-it note and stenciled the patterns on the 2 baubles with Blueprint Sketch.

4. Added a rhinestone to the left bauble, drew stripes with Nuvo drops (glitter white) on the center bauble, and added Nuvo drops (white blizzard) onto the pattern of the right bauble.
5. Glued the silver thread to connect the baubles.
6. Sponged the edges of the card base with Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch and adhered the front panel to it.

The challenge is open until January 24th.

I made the baubles patterns by sponging the stencil, so I'm sharing the card with our new CAS Challenge, CAS Stencil Challenge.

Thanks for visiting me today!

  7. These ornaments are so clever, Hideko! I love the heat embossing and stenciling on them and how the sponged edges pull everything together! The string worked through each ornament and curled on the end really grabbed my attention! Brilliant, my friend!
