CAS Mix Up January Challenge - happy birthday

Hi everyone,

I'm here with the reminder post for this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge.

Here's my card:

Using Partial Die-cutting, Stamping, Dry-embossing, and Watercoloring

[How I made the card]
1. Partially die-cut the word, HAPPY, from a piece of white cardstock.
2. Die-cut another word, BIRTHDAY.
3. Stamped the flowers with gray archival ink.

4. Partially die-cut the flowers.
5. Cut the boundary between HAPPY and BIRTHDAY with an exacto knife.
6. Watercolored the flowers with Zig markers and brushed them over with Aqua Shimmer.
7. Dry-embossed the card base to add subtle texture.
8. Popped up the die-cut panel on the card base with foam tape.
9. Glued a few sequins.

Using sentiment dies for partial die-cutting has as many possibilities as using coordinating dies. If you have alphabet dies, they'd be fun to play with too.

Looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations in the gallery!
The challenge is open until January 24th.

  16. This is so wonderfully sweet, pretty and cheerful. It immediate made me think of my mom, as purple is her favourite colour and her birthday is rounding the corner again at the start of April. Serious inspiration - thank you!
