CAS Christmas October Challenge - merry

Hi everyone,

This is a reminder for CAS Christmas Challenge, and our host, Marcia, picked Gray and Red for the theme of this month.


Here's my card with red foiled baubles:


[How I made the card]

1. Spread a thin layer of Transfer Gel over a piece of red cardstock.

2. Put a piece of foil sheet over the paper and ran it through the laminator.

3. Punched out 5 circles from the foiled sheet.

4. Die-cut 5 bauble caps and letters "MERRY".

5. Glued the caps and the letters onto the foiled circles.

6. Debossed the snowflakes on a piece of white panel, and glued it over a gray panel.

7. Popped up M, R, and Y with foam tape, and glued E and R onto the debossed panel.

8. Connected the baubles with silver thread.

9. Glued the entire panel to the card base.

    Fabulous card, Hideko! Love the ornaments spelling out Merry. The pinpoint die cut panel is a wonderful background with the grey peeping through the pinpoints and also bordering it.

    Love your Gorgeous die cut foiled ornament with the die cut hangers and silver metallic thread. Your Memory Box Pinpoint Snowflake with the gray CS peaking thru was a perfect background for your stunning ornaments with the die cut letters. TFS your beauty and detailed description, my friend.     Hideko, you have a way with baubles! I promise, I'll put up my Christmas tree this year if you'll come help decorate it?
    LOve the debossing, the lovely red foil, the silver thread is so lovely and don't think I didn't see that lovely grey mat peeking out there!

    I just love your sweet red ornaments Hideko! So pretty in the red foil with white letters and strung on the silver thread! Love the dimension of popping every other one up on foam and your beautiful subtle snowflake debossed background. A beautiful CAS design! xx

    Oh my goodness, this is such a FABULOUS card, Hideko! Your debossed snowflakes are the perfect background, especially with the thin gray border! I also love your foiled baubles as a focal point for this card...as always, I really love your take on the challenge!!! xx

    Ooh… amazing CAS card, Hideko. It’s adorable yet with all the details, it s sophisticated and elegant. What? How is it possible? Only you could pull that off! Love the shiny foiled ornaments and how it spells out m-e-r-r-y.. Great background to highlight them, too.
