Hi everyone,
The Group of Seven Cardmakers recently shared the Coloring Dry Embossing technique, and I finally got a chance to give it a try!
Applying white pigment ink to the embossed surface was very easy and the card itself was simple to create. I didn't want to cover the beauty of the embossed image, so I chose a short sentiment and foiled it on a piece of acetate.
Thanks for visiting me today! 😊
Ink: Pigment Ink (Unicorn White - Hero Arts)
Paper: Not Quite Navy (Stampin' Up!)
Others: 3D Embossing Folder (Rose Bouquet - Altenew), Glimmer Hot Plate & Die (Glimmer Kit of the Month 2021- Spellbinders), Glimmer Hot Foil (White - Spellbinders), Clear Acetate Sheets (Simon Says Stamp), Basic Pearls (Stampin' Up!), Detail Blending Brushes (Altenew), Connect Glue (Gina K)
Love the soft ethereal look of the white ink on the dark blue! And what a perfect way to do the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful 3D Embossing folder image using a detailed blending brush and white pigment ink, Hideko. I love your choice of Night of Navy CS and how you did not cover up your card image with a larger sentiment, but instead used a tiny gold foiled on acetate sentiment. TFS and sharing with us at Group of Seven:-) Love and Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteThis embossing folder is so pretty, Hideko, and perfect for the white ink swiping! A brilliant idea to foil the sentiment on acetate so it doesn't cover a bit of the gorgeous background!
ReplyDeleteHideko, your card is stunning! I love your choice of paper for white inking and such a gorgeous, embossed image to use for this technique!
ReplyDeleteI've yet to try foiling on acetate - but foiling on paper is enough of a struggle! You should come give me a few lessons; don't you think? x

It may have been simple…the results are strikingly gorgeous! Perfect EF to use. Great idea to put the sentiment on acetate to show it off as much as possible.
ReplyDeletewow stunningly elegant with that beautiful flower ♥
