Welcome to our new challenge at CAS Mix Up!
Our very talented Designer, Joanna, is hosting the challenge this month, and her theme is Stencil from Die-cuts. Our wonderful guest designer is Ina (Little Bits of Craft).
Here's my card:
Using Stencil made from die-cut, Smooshing, Die-cutting, Heat-embossing,
and Stamping
[How I made this card]and Stamping
1. Die-cut a piece of acetate with a sentiment die.
2. Stenciled the sentiment with embossing paste over a piece of Brusho smooshed background.
3. Die-cut the stenciled piece with a Hemstiched frame die.
4. White heat-embossed the sentiment on a strip of dark brown cardstock and popped it up on another strip with fish tails so that it looked like a gift ribbon. Glued the ribbon onto the top left corner of the stenciled panel.
5. Glued the panel on to the white card base.
Now I see dies differently from before. I'll definitely think about the possibilities of using a stencil when I buy a new die. 😊
You have until February 24th to link up your card here. Looking forward to seeing your card in the gallery!

Great to get extra use out of our die cuts and what a fabulous card Hideko x. The colours are so pretty on the background and I love the way you've done the sentiment with the stencil from the die cut x.
ReplyDeleteThis Brusho piece is spectacular. Love how the embossing paste HUGS keep this card soft even though these are large letters. The framing and banner adds beautiful texture and dimension. A beauty dear Hideko xx

Thank you for sharing All your beautiful steps, Hideko. I Love your beautiful smooshed Brushos background die cut with the Hemstitch Rectangle. Your die cut HUG used as a stencil really made your letters pop with the added texture paste. The Early Espresso faux bow for your heat embossed sentiment was the perfect final touch. I want to try your sentiment technique. TFS your beauty, my friend. Hugs..Nancy
