It seems that this summer is flying by. I haven't had a chance to go to the beach, but Loll chose "Beach" as the theme for the CAS Mix Up Challenge this month. I can at least get a beach-y feeling by playing along with the challenge. 😊
Here's my card:
[How I made the card]
1. Painted a beach scene with Gansai Tambi paints on watercolor paper.
2. Die-cut the thin frame and shells. Lightly colored the shells.
3. Heat-embossed the sentiment.
4. Glued the panel, the frame, and the shells onto the card base.
I think the silver paint worked well for the fizz.
You can enjoy a lot of gorgeous beach scenes at the challenge site and the gallery.

ReplyDeleteLove your realistic watercolored beach scene, Hideko. Loved how you used the silver watercolor for the foam from the waves:-) Wonderful frame, sentiment and sea shells too. BTW, what size is your rectangle card? Your card base perfectly balanced your beautiful watercolor painted scene!

So very beautiful, Hideko ... you, and your silver paint, have captured the foamy remnants of those waves just beautifully! You've also managed to indicate the depth of the ocean using the darker blues.
ReplyDeleteThere is still time to enjoy the beach here - come on over!!

ReplyDeleteNICE! That watercoloured froth makes for an incredible shiney beach water edge. The sky line is beautiful too, Hideko. So is the framing and the two little shell details make this the place to be. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up!
