Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope you had wonderful holidays.
The weather was not good in LA for the last several days, so it was perfect for not feeling guilty about staying home and being lazy, ie. eat, watch movies & TV, sleep long hours, and repeat. 😁 I had time for making a new year card too.

I used a turnabout stamp to make an original pattern paper for the circles. The sentiment was gold heat-embossed on vellum, and the card base was dry embossed for textural interest. This is the Year of the Rabbit, so I made an origami rabbit to accomapny the card.
Thanks for visiting me today! 😊
Stamp: Let It Snow Turnabout Stamp Set (Concord & 9th), Happy New Year Wishes (Mama Elephant)
Paper: Basic White, Soft Sky (Stampin' Up!), Vellum (My Favorite Things)
Ink: Soft Sky (Stampin' Up), Grapesicle (My Favorite Things), Encore Ultimate Metallic (Gold, Silver - Tsukineko), VersaMark (Tsukineko)
Others: Dies (Hemstitch Squares - Spellbinders, Circle Thin Framelits - Simon Says Stamp), Embossing Powder (Gold - Hero Arts), 3D Embossign Folder (Angled Mosaic - Altenew), Wink of Luna (Metallic Gold - Kuretake), Connect Glue (Gina K)
Love your Happy New Year, card..Hideko. Your stamped with a turn about stamp and then die cut with circle dies for the stamped and gold heat embossed sentiment is so creative and beautiful!!! Wonderful 3D background adds so much texture to your card too. TFS your beautiful card and Happy 2003 New Year dear friend:-) Thinking of you with all the rain in California...stay safe and dry. Love and Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteHideko your little rabbit looks right at home and would probably enjoy a romp through the gorgeous texture of your card! ReplyDeleteYour HNY card is beautiful and classy. Love the colours, the fabulous embossed texture background and that cute little origami rabbit.
Beautiful card Hideko. LOVE the colour of the card base, looks amazing with all the lovely texture from the embossing folder. Very cool background design from your turnabout stamps. Love it!!! Gorgeous finishing with the large heat embossed sentiment.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect way to while away your rainy days, my friend. Love, Loll
That textured base is the perfect place for your pretty snowflake design on circles! I love the gold embossed sentiment with the beautiful font! Your origami rabbit nearly steals the show, but not quite. So glad you had some time to rest, create and share with us. I've missed your posts, my friend.
