PP264: A Sketch Challenge

My cards are usually clean and simple, so it's been a while since I last made a card like this with some layers.

This week's Paper Players' sketch challenge gave me the opportunity to make a layered card.

I layered a parchment butterfly over the Strawberry Slush one to make the color a little less popped. I also used the same color of cardstock as the card base (Island Indigo) for the lace at the bottom. That nicely blended the lace into the background.
Stamp: Made for You, Swiss Dots Background (mft)
Paper: Island Indigo, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Parchment Paper
Ink: Island Indigo
Accessories: Butterflies Thinlits, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Something Borrowed Embellishments, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Mini Glue Dots, Dimentionals

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thanks so much for your sweet comment, Claire! The polka dot background stamp is very handy because you can make the polka dot paper in any color you like. :-)

    1. Thank you for the sweetness, Laurie! I tried a few colors for the butterfly, and I settled on Strawberry Slush, which is a pretty color. :-)
