CAS Christmas July Challenge - nativity

Half of this year has already gone by. That means Christmas is coming in less than 6 months. Do you have some Christmas cards in your stash? A good thing is that we have plenty of time to make some. Why not add more cards to your stash?

Our talented Designer, Marcia, is hosting the challenge this month, and she chose Nativity as the theme. We have Jane (Purplejet Loves Crafts) as Guest Designer.

I didn't have any nativity stamps or dies, so this was a great opportunity to get one! 😉 I found cool die cut-outs at an Etsy shop and made this card:

[How I made this card]
1. Sponged the bottom left corner of the card base with white and yellow pigment ink.
2. Die-cut a thin frame and glued it onto the card base.
3. Glued the three wise men die cut-outs.
4. Added stars to the sky with Stickles.

The card front was pretty full, so I didn't add a sentiment.

I hope you enjoy making your Nativity scene card and share it with us in the galleryYou have until July 24th.

Paper: Not Quite Navy (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: Pigment Ink (Unicorn White - Hero Arts), Distress Oxide Ink (Squeezed Lemonade - Ranger)
Accessories: Die cut-outs (Nativity Scene Wise men - The DieCutOutCompany), Dies (Essential Rectangles - Ellen Hutson), Ice Stickles (Silver Ice - Ranger),

  2. This is SO pretty in blue and white Hideko - I'm glad you mentioned the glow coming in from the corner - I might have thought it was just a glare - but it is the glow of Jesus that that wise men are bowing to- a very creative design and I love the graphic look of the die cut wise men. A beautiful card for Marcia's challenge!

  13. I thought you had sponged all the color on your card front, but reading your description you actually only sponged on the lower left corner over your Night of Navy cardstock...how cool! Love your die cut Wisemen and added stickle stars, Hideko. Adding the thin die cut frame brought your images all together, perfectly! TFS your beauty, my friend. Stay safe and Creative. Love and Hugs...Nancy
